The Advanced Canine Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation Certificate is designed for animal health professionals
seeking to build advanced clinical skills and confidence in canine recovery, mobility and performance.

 

This evidence based certificate has a main focus on advanced underwater treadmill techniques for canine rehabilitation, developing skills in assessment, progressive loading and condition specific program design. While the underwater treadmill is central, participants also learn complementary hydrotherapy and rehabilitation techniques to safely support orthopaedic, neurological, post operative and performance based cases.​

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

JENNIE FROST

BSc, VPAC, RVN, A1, NCert (An Beh), Cert. Hydrotherapy, Advanced Dip. Hydrotherapy, CCRP

 VETERINARY HYDROTHERAPIST AND CLINIC OWNER â€‹

Jennie began her career after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Administration from the University of Bristol in 2007. Since then, she has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in Companion Animal Behaviour and Canine Hydrotherapy. She holds both Certificate and Advanced Diploma qualifications in hydrotherapy and is currently working toward the internationally recognised Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) qualification through VAHL and the University of Tennessee.

​

Following graduation, Jennie spent several years working in the UK across a range of small animal and orthopaedic referral hospitals. During this time, she also established and successfully operated a canine hydrotherapy centre in the South West of England.

​

In January 2017, Jennie emigrated permanently to Australia with her husband and young son, where she founded the Blue Mountains Animal Rehab Centre (BMARC) in Faulconbridge, NSW. BMARC is now a highly successful canine hydrotherapy and rehabilitation centre, servicing a full client base and supported by a dedicated team of hydrotherapists. The centre has received multiple local business awards and has plans for expansion in 2026.

​

Now based in the Blue Mountains, Jennie lives with her husband and their two boys, alongside two spaniels, a pony, a bearded dragon and an ever growing flock of chickens, a lifestyle that reflects her longstanding commitment to animal care and welfare.
